Attorney Johnson has over 16 years of experience serving as defense counsel for insurance companies and their insureds. She has represented her clients against claims made in several areas, including first and third-party automobile injuries, trucking injuries, premises liability, construction defects, agricultural law, life insurance, governmental entity, and municipal law. Attorney Johnson has also assisted insurance companies pursue subrogation claims nationwide and has drafted many opinions on coverage-related issues.
Shortly after graduating from Marquette University Law School, Attorney Johnson worked for a law firm that provided nationwide subrogation services. In this position, she handled a large caseload of both in and out-of-state subrogation claims, assisted in drafting a comprehensive textbook on subrogation issues in all 50 states, and presented at the National Association of Subrogation Professionals annual conferences. After serving as outside counsel for a variety of insurance companies, Attorney Johnson worked in-house for a large life insurance company. While serving as in-house counsel, she was primarily responsible for handling all claims-related issues and managed outside counsel in litigated matters. Prior to joining Weiss Law Office, Attorney Johnson worked for more than ten years in an insurance defense law firm and tried several cases to successful jury verdicts on behalf of her clients.
